Farming the Violet Tower in Netherstorm for Motes of Mana

Mote of Mana Farming - Netherstorm Level 67+

Since Burning Crusade people have been going mote crazy. And why not? Ten motes of any given element will produce a primal of that element. And if you have played the Burning Crusade and do any kind of crafting at all, you know that there are tons of recipes in all the professions which require primals (for example the shamantastic Living Dragonscale Helm).

In the Best WoW Gold Guide we%26#8217;ve already covered some great (and would-be great) spots to farm motes. We%26#8217;ve also established that people will pay good gold for them on the auction house. So now I want to clue you in on a great tucked-away spot to farm Motes of Mana.

At the moment it seems the best place to farm motes of mana is in southernmost Netherstorm (Wowhead | WowWiki), to the south of the Violet Tower. You%26#8217;ll want to focus on grinding Mana Seekers (25.7% drop) and the spell-shielded Mageslayers (26% drop), with the occasional Mana Invader (33% drop) thrown in as well.

As I mentioned, the Mageslayers have an ability to reflect spells, so you will need to take appropriate measures if you%26#8217;re of the magic-using variety. Melee classes should have no problem, however. It%26#8217;s also worth noting that Mana-based elementals are immune to arcane-based attacks, much like fire elementals are immune to fire-based attacks. I was so sad when I found that out right after spending like 200 gold on dual fiery enchants to farm the fire elementals in Un%26#8217;Goro Crater way back when. LOL what a nubish thing to do.

But I%26#8217;m here to help you avoid dumb noob mistakes like I made, and so are the players behind the Elite WoW 1-70 Guide - a new guide that%26#8217;s taking World of Warcraft by storm. It has a complete (and totally detailed) set of guides to teach you the quickest way to power level your character and get that sweet gold flowing into your bank.
